Married couple holding hands

A shared system

If you are married or engaged, the Creighton Model System (CrMS) is designed to be used by the couple together. This is not for the woman to handle and periodically keep her husband in the loop. In fact, a couple is much more likely to achieve their fertility goals when the system is used by a couple together. Anna talks more about this concept here.

Proven reliable

CrMS has been thoroughly studied over the last 45 years. Thousands of cycles have been studied by the developers of the system. Success rates for achieving pregnancy in couples of normal fertility are nearly 100% by the 6th cycle. Success rates for avoiding pregnancy in couples of normal fertility are 96.8%. Success rates are also very high for couples with diagnosed infertility trying to achieve pregnancy - up to 80% depending on the cause of infertility and the approach taken. This is a big reason why couples come to CrMS.

Comparatively inexpensive

Our FertilityCare Center has never turned anyone away based on their financial situation. We will always work with you to get you the care you deserve. Read more about the cost of FertilityCare here.

Natural and cooperative

CrMS works with the way your body was designed to work. The charting of your fertility is observing what your fertility is doing and interpreting that. If there are underlying health issues that need to be addressed, everything is done so with the ultimate goal of health, wholeness and healing - assisting your reproductive system to function the way that it was designed to.

Medically safe

Because CrMS is natural and cooperative it is very safe. Creighton Model Practitioners undergo intensive training and ongoing education and quality control. Jenny talks more about that here. Furthermore, if you need Napro medical help, Napro providers are highly trained physicians, surgeons, nurse practitioners, and OBGYNs, that have undergone further training and education above and beyond what was required for their profession.

Respects the dignity of women and the integrity of marriage

Everything within CrMS falls in line with what the Catholic Church teaches on the dignity of the human person as made in the image and likeness of God. It draws on the principals outlined in The Theology of the Body (St. John Paul II) and Humane Vitae (St. Paul VI). Human sexuality is viewed as an integrated part of our total humanity. From discussions with your practitioner, to your Napro doctor's approach to medical procedures, everything is done with respect for your innate dignity and the sacredness of the marital bond.

Standardized

Everything in the CrMS approach is standardized, from the charts and stamps, to the Intro Sessions, to the structure of follow up sessions and even the teaching schedule itself. This ensures a high level of quality, effectiveness, and accuracy. It also provides a common language across multiple FertilityCare Professionals, including Napro medical providers.

Research foundation

CrMS grew out of a desire to research and better understand the naturals means to regulate fertility. Many years of a "significant comprehensive commitment to research" has made CrMS what it is today. Certified FertilityCare Practitioners receive ongoing and continuously updated training as a result of this commitment to research and ongoing learning.
